Torke Blaise,  I saw your avatar pic has a spike and 2 pairs of some kind of knuckle dusters.  Looks like Berserkir tek made.  I Thought maybe you were interested in selling a pair, and if so at what price?

Hi Dave,

You are correct. My "butterfly" is a Berserkir Tech creation. Tempered aluminum with micarta grips. Modified OSS design. Awesome tools.

Sad to say, but there are no other BT dusters extant. Gabe only made the 1 set, a truly rare butterfly.

I teach cestus fighting as part of my SOMA \ SF Combatives curriculum. Knuckle dusters are illegal for civilians to possess and the consequences are even worse if they're ever "used". However, many Spec Ops soldiers carry trench knives (w\dusters or D-guards) and a rare few carry some type of hand enhancer (dusters, sap gloves, punch-spikes, etc.) So, this particular form of warcraft knowledge is maintained and preserved in the military realm.

Capuan boxing, as executed w\a cestus on, is devastatingly brutal. In fact, any "real" form of pugilism is deadly when the fighter's hands have the weapons attached.

I sometimes see "brass knuckle paper weights" for sale here & there. Worthless. The knuckles are purposely splayed (the user will break his hand upon impact). This "design" is utilized on MMA t-shirts, tough-guy stuff, etc. and it always just makes me chuckle. Sort of like listening to the braggart pistolero telling me about how he "fired off a few clips of 9-mili" at his latest foe...whatever...and they're called "magazines" for crying-out-loud.

Sorry I can't help you out. But I'll keep an eye open for ya and let you know if I come across anything interesting.

Torke Blaise, thanks for the response.  Very interesting info on the Cestus fighting concepts.  Im a full blooded intalian so ive always been interested in gladius sword and any hand to hand combat related to fighting techniques of the romans and greeks.  Im assuming thats where most of this capuan boxing and pamachoun(not sure if spelled it right) is coming from.  The gladius 101 DVD is great as is all of your other DVDs(i have all of them).   I bought some of the first batch that came out a few years ago on ebay from Jotunn.

It would be interesting to see someone make a tactical modern cestus.  Something little different than a knuckleduster.   Something more close to the leather and metal versions they had back in the day.  I guess they were kind of like the precursors to what is now known today as the boxing glove.

Oakley makes an MTB pilot Gloves thats black with carbon fiber knuckle plates on them.  Some of our guys in the Sayoc Tactical division where them.  Kind of interesting...

Wow, sounds interesting Gabe.  Would love to see and hear more about your stuff.  Hopefully if Torke Blaise and the other Yashai guys keep putting the stress on you to make blades, maybe some day you'll give in to the peer pressure and start production of bersekir tech again.  I know id certainly like to have more berserkir tech weapons.  We design and make our own weapons within the sayoc community but i always have an appreciation for other people's work.
