Reply with quote | #7 | Well as (just my) luck would have it, I am going to be in So Cal for work next week...for a company who claims to be purveyors of their own type of "Warcraft"!! ;-)
Hopefully this job will bring me to So Cal again for some local training, but I'll miss the "home" seminars.
Best wishes and good training to all. Someone buy sifu Blaise a Bar Harbor Real Ale for me, will ya? ;-) __________________ "The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action." - from Tao of JKD

Make sure the lobster is local from Maine, and not Canada - those guys are looking at a rough season this year!
Have fun this week - train hard! __________________ "The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action." - from Tao of JKD

Reply with quote | #12 | It's been a nice time out here so far. Weather's been great...sunny and warm. Sun showers today. Training's been fantastic. Lots of range time too. Got to chill w/a 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) light weapons man on my last shoot. He rotated back here to the world from Afghanistan not too long ago. Filled me in on a lot of things. Good to know that we (Americans) have such fine soldiers defending us. I am truly thankful.
Did a CQT (close quarter termination) knifing course last night.
My hosts have been super gracious and my feasts most lavish. Thanks to all of you who've trained so hard and have supported me on this vik!

Reply with quote | #13 | Today is stand-down and decompression. It's been a fantastic training cycle. I re-qual'd on everything w/flying colors (SOMA). Thanks Cheshire for all the range time & ammo. Thanks Eric & Smitty for hosting me at your schools. It was great! Just gonna relax now. Tomorrow is travel day. Fun. Blaise Loong |
