the paired practice of these two gentle men is wonderfuly done. i must say congratulation to their mentor. you guys, we are proud of you, you are worthy of being part and the continuity of our ancient glorious treasures. !viva la filipinas viva!

This is a clip from 2003 in HB, spur of the moment thing, grab a blade n go, no warm up just as u are. These 2 blades we were using are wicked sharp and luv to cut, as u can see the branch cut off! We start mellow and then speed up counter for counter basics, towards the end you can see we both pull a shot cuz we would have cut each other had we not react. I like to watch that clip, it gets me pumped when live blades be at play.

Very cool Jotunn!

I remember that day. You were training w\a BT War Shank & I used the bolo from the "sun - moon - wind" dvd.

Yes, very sharp edges.

I'm very proud that the Filipino warriors, who live in the RP, appreciate our Eskrima skills and tell us!

This is what a high level BJJ match looks like

Joe Scarola (the baby that went home to his girlfriend on the TUF show) vs Bill Cooper

Joe looked like a  puss on the show but he can grapple, no doubt

guro john,
hey there brother! ive been really busy with work, aside from my normal police duties i also belong to a couple security reaction force teams. i leave for a 2 year hitch out to Guam in November and the Silat documentary that I filmed out in M'sia last january should be on the Nat Geo channel in August. I am trying to find a way to sneak up to New England when Guro Blaise is up there in July, its a busy time for us but I would be willing just to even get a day in. we shall see!

I planned on making frequent trips to P.I. when Im in Guam, I would like to keep in touch and perhaps meet up out there. Im glad to see your doing well! take care my friend!

I've always liked that piece of footage.

all of you know about sport science???
its more better if all of you applied MA with the science... the momentum, inertia, acceleration, mass and force... and mix it with dance.. you will found the balancing and harrow of the technic... history of Malaya in 1958, kill in dance movement.. "internal and external body become one".. "breath with your move, move with your breathing"...
